Thoughts on the First Day of My ECS 100 Placement
Honestly, on my first day of my coop “pre-pre internship” I was extremely nervous to meet the kids and my coop teacher. This was a whole new learning experience for me and it was the first time I was going to be in a classroom as a teacher and not as the student. Hearing my name as “Ms. Deck” was a very interesting and odd feeling to have. The class that I was placed in was a 7/8 English class at Elsie Mironuck school in Regina. When I first went into the class the students seemed slightly wary of myself and my partner. As the day went on, some of the students warmed up to us. There was only 17 students in the class so learning names was going to be a lot easier than I was expecting. From my experience on the first day, I could tell that it was going to be a very good learning experience.
